The Spring Development Program is designed and directed by Bruce Turpin.

The purpose of this program is to provide a select group of committed, skilled players
with an innovative set of development activities right in their own backyard that
cannot be acquired anywhere else. It is also fueled by a deep desire on the part of
the coaching staff to give back to the sport that has provided them with invaluable life
lessons, lessons that they are applying to their work - in and out of the game of
hockey - every day.

Bruce Turpin is currently coaching the Northbrook Bluehawks Bantam AA and Loyola
Academy Maroon teams. Prior to this season, he served as a head coach at the
Chicago Blues (2005-06 Bantam AA State Champions and 2004-05 Bantam A State
Champions). With his masters in exercise science, he has also worked as the
strength and conditioning coach for the Chicago Mission 90 AAA team (2003-04 and
2004-05 Tier 1 State Champions).
